it is done... well almost

We've done it!
After a very long 2 days of searching for apartments and some interesting adventures Kaleena and I have found a place. We get the keys on Monday!

Its a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment in a brand new building in the area of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn, NY. We will be the first people to ever live in it! It has a courtyard area in the backyard and its just beautiful. I love it!

We found it through the most adorable man named Serge. He started by showing us an apartment that we had seen online and had loved... it had exposed brick and stainless steel appliances... after looking at a couple layouts in that apartment building we were in love with one of them... it was beautiful with good sized rooms and kitchen but the bathroom was TEENY and when I say TEENY it was bad... I wouldn't have been able to lay down in the tub cause is was so short and the sink was about a foot wide. Serge then told us he had another building to show us... we told him he was mean. haha. We went to the next building... and it was the brand new building... serge showed us an apartment there that was awesome. We loved it and really wanted  to say yes but had an appointment to view some places in Manhattan and knew that we were possibly interested in those. SO we went to see those places. This turned into a realtor agency and while they were super nice they really couldn't find us much that we liked. We ended the day by seeing an amazing one in the "up and coming area, Williamsburg" that was in the perfect location BUT lacked space... like there was no space whatsoever. We would have had room in each of the rooms for our beds and maybe a dresser and then the kitchen would have been our combined living area with very outdated appliances and not even room for a couch... it was just way too small.

So we decided on the one with Serge!!! The second one in the brand new building. We love it and are so super excited about moving in and decorating! AND for the boys to finally get out here next weekend!

It was awesome cause while we were waiting to meet up with Serge again on Friday we drove around the neighborhood and its perfect! About 7 blocks north of us is a VERY large community of Hasidic Jews which made us feel like it was a fairly safe area and we are also super close to Pratt Institute.

I am so excited! We are planning on getting a pull out couch or at the very least an air mattress... so you all better come visit!
